I like the Wyze Camera V3 Pro for its compact form factor, extremely accurate signals, and local storage. It offers high video quality (2k resolution), a smart focus that provides a better view of everything that moves in the frame it covers, and a built-in spotlight.
If we have to be honest, it would not be easy to find another security camera that covers all the Wyze Cam V3 Pro features for $50. Therefore, without a doubt, this is one of the best smart security cameras.

Wyze Camera V3 Pro: Design
The Wyze Camera V3 Pro has a familiar square format design similar to the Wyze Cam V2 and Wyze Cam Outdoor models. The camera measures 2.3 by 2.0 by 2.0 inches and is on a foldable magnetic stand, allowing you to rotate and position the camera.
In the front of the camera is the lead, above which there are two spotlights on a completely black surface. This is also one of the differences compared to the Wyze Cam V3, where the frames of the front part are in white color.
A small speaker is positioned on the back of the camera along with an 89db siren that you can activate from the Wyze app to attract attention or scare off someone who doesn’t come with good intentions.

Wyze Cam V3 Pro Setup
Installation begins by inserting the Micro SD card on the underside of the camera. At the same time, you need to install the Wyze app and press the plus sign, positioned in the upper left corner of the screen, Add a device- Wyze Cam V3 Pro and wait until the camera light flashes and then hold the setup button below the camera until you hear a beep.
Then you will connect your Wi-fi and the app will generate a code, which code you need to show the camera its lens. It will take seconds to connect and then you’ll need to name your device and you’ll get a two-week trial of the Cam Plus subscription.
Installation
Choosing the right location is one of the most important things when installing security cameras. But how do you determine whether a place is a good fit? Avoid areas in direct sunlight that would make it difficult for the camera to see, high-traffic areas such as roads, and areas with extremely dense vegetation.
Also, for a better life and a higher field of view, it is nice to place your cameras 8 to 10 feet above the ground. This way you also make them harder for people to access.
A very important step before drilling and screwing in the cameras is to be familiar with where the wires and pipes are located. Once you are clear about where they are, we can go through the installation process.
First of all, place the camera in your desired position to make sure it fits and you are satisfied, then proceed with the following steps. You partially screw the screw into the wall, leaving a little space between the screw head and the wall. Take the camera mount and insert the mounting hole into the screw, slide down slightly to lock it, and tighten the screw firmly to seal the mount to the wall.

Wyze Cam v3 Pro: Motion detection
The camera has a flawless AI function for detecting people and moving objects. So if the Wyze Cam detects any form of human motion it sends you a photo of the detected object within about 8-10 seconds.

If your camera is positioned in a place where your pets often walk, you need to create motion alerts so that you don’t get pictures of every movement that the camera detects. But I’m not sure if even if you create these motion alerts the camera won’t consider the pets to be a danger, so I highly recommend not positioning the Wyze cameras in a place accessible to your pets.
Video Quality
The Wyze Camera V3 Pro records in impressive-looking 2k video quality. During the day, the video is recorded at about 20 frames per second, while at night the camera records at 15 frames per second. However, the video looks clean and clear both during the day and at night. The weak spotlight with a power of only 70 lumens can be considered a disadvantage.
Video storage
There are 2 types of video storage- the paid Wyze Plus service, free for 2 weeks, and MicroSD, through which you get continuous recording for free. As a disadvantage, I would consider that when the camera is full, Wyze deletes the recorded old videos to free up space.
The Wyze Plus amount is calculated against the amount of cameras you have. It’s $1.99 per camera, billed annually, making it one of the cheapest cloud storage plans for your security cameras.
You don’t need a subscription to save snapshots triggered by some form of motion.

Conclusion
Don’t think the smaller size and lower price are a prerequisite for lower quality. On the contrary, the Wyze Camera V3 Pro offers extremely high video quality as well as unique motionless features such as the intelligent motion detection feature.
So if you don’t need the fancy features that more expensive security cameras offer, the Wyze Cam V3 Pro is the best option between affordability and performance.
Is Wyze Cam v3 Pro Wireless?

Will Wyze work without WiFi?
